Final Thoughts
If you got to this point now, you know how to induce understeer and you know how to induce oversteer. You understand how to relax your hands on corner entry and then get a little bit more from the car mid-corner, and how to relax your hands on exit. You know about elevation changes and where to turn the car more, where to turn the car less, and how to communicate with the car.
Your Objective in the Simulator
Your objective in the simulator is to be as consistent as possible. Anytime you're prepping for a real life event and you're getting the same, make sure you're able to do a full stint all the way until you have zero fuel without crashing, without going off, and being extremely consistent.
Also feel free to push and feel free to experiment, but if you're trying to put yourself in the mentality of racing in real life, make sure you look for consistency and safety in the simulator. Be careful not to overdrive in the simulator all the time and build that muscle memory, because you might also carry that over into real life racing and that's not very helpful, because you can't really transfer all the techniques and references that you develop in the sim.
Final Exercise
As a final exercise, try to do 20 laps with the radical at Laguna Seca and with the M2 at Oulton Park, non-stop, with very consistent laps focusing on maintaining braking references and lines extremely similar, so that you develop that precision. Then you're going to take that polished technique and easily apply it in real life.
Building Confidence for Real Life Racing
You're going to be extremely confident in real life because you know the dynamics work one-to-one, just like pilots use flight simulators for hundreds of hours before they fly a real plane. You're going to do exactly the same thing here.
Getting Support
If you have any questions, send me a message. Send me videos of your exercises if you're struggling with any specific exercise. I'm going to be here to help you. Thank you so much for your trust, and who knows, I might see you on track.
